Ta An Forest Park
- The Ta An Forest Park in bustling Taipei is the most visited green space in the entire area. Weekends and holidays see all kinds of fun events happening there. Kids (and their parents) can play freely in many areas, fly kites, go on hikes, watch the clowns and jugglers, watch the birds and other wildlife in the trees and ponds, kick soccer balls, climb on courses built just for them, and whatever else comes to mind. There is plenty of space, and it’s all clean, green and fun! There are 8 totally different types of natural environments in Ta An Forest Park, so people come back again and again, year-round, for a different experience each time. When you see how much fun it is, you will want to visit, too! You may want to propose a park like this for your hometown, wherever it is!

Dragon Boat Festival
- Have you heard of the Dragon Boat Festival in Taiwan? The dragon boat races, the yummy rice dumplings, standing eggs on their ends, wearing fragrant sachets—no? Well, it’s time you learned about this very fun special annual occasion in Taiwan. It commemorates a legendary patriotic poet (whom the people loved) who lost his position with the emperor and was exiled from the island because of dirty tricks played by his rival. And that’s just the beginning… you must watch the video to get the rest of the story, and to see the colorful long dragon boats, with 17 to 25 rowers on board, racing along the river.
